CC&S #286
Hello! I should have tiled this post Samantha and the terrible, horrible, no good , very bad day! Yep, one of those days. I had to remake this card last minute, I had stamped and watercolored it the night before and left it to dry, so I could re-stamp it in the morning (yes I have a misti) , only I stamped it wrong( GASP) and had to remake it in a rush to get in in time for the challenge. Then as I was nagging one of my teenagers about getting ready I pulled my phone out to show him the tie and dropped said phone facedown on the tiled floor(NO!!!!!!) shattering the screen (TEARS!) , then traffic was awful to work, coworkers called off, lots of emergency patients , one of who I'm sure will not get their vision back (which is very hard to witness patients being told..more tears ) , headed to appointment to replace broken phone screen to find they didn't have the right color screen, now it's storming and the power is flickering....so PJ's and bed for me . Thanks for reading about my bad day, hopefully tomorrow is a better one.

The Holly and the Ivy #34
Hello! I'm happy to be back sharing with you today. School starts tomorrow and I'm counting down the hours. I'm looking forward to having fridays during school hours to myself.....ahh! No more Mom I need a ride to ... , Mom what's for lunch? , Mom he's looking at me, Mom..... just me and my craft supplies. I'm hoping to knock out all my holiday cards before Thanksgiving, so I can be ready early. I am one of those people who likes to be done shopping early too. I hate crowds and those black friday sales scare me. These Christmas card challenges are perfect for those of us who like to be ready early! I always make 2 of the same card . Thanks for stopping by today.

Hello! I'm sharing my card for Wei's fabulous sketch. I've been wanting to do a group of butterflies on a card for awhile now, this sketch fit perfectly for what I had in mind. I cut out a ton of different size butterflies from some watercolor paper, added some distress oxides , a little colorwash on the background , and finally a sentiment. Thanks for stopping by today, I can't wait to be inspired by your creations too.

Hello! We had a very stormy night here last night (as I'm writing this) . So I was worried I wouldn't get it posted in time. Yikes! We needed the rain, but could do without the hail. Sharing my card for this week's color challenge. I just threw something together last minute, I was really struggling with ideas for this color combo. I'm not an earth tone color person. So this one was difficult. But I pulled it off anyway. I can't wait to be inspired by everyones creations. Thanks for stopping by today.

Simply Create too #141
Hello! This month we were asked to create bookmarks, how fun is that? I found it was a great way to use up some scraps of paper. This scrap is from a watercolor project of made a few months ago and couldn't bear to part with. Now it's a fun bookmark. I will be making several more in thenext few days, so watch for me to play along this month to share a few more, Thanks for stopping by today.

The Holly and the Ivy #33
Hello! I'm stopping in to share my card for the "anything goes" challenge at The Holly and The Ivy. I have been challenging myself to use up my scraps and random dies I have laying around. So that is how this card came to be. I have been really making an effort to be better organized recently. I've made some headway, but still need more work. I have a small area in our basement to craft and it's become a bit crowded. I purged some things and am trying to use up some other things to clear some room. Thanks for stopping by today.

Hello! I'm sharing my card for this week's double challenge. I might be pushing the sketch a tiny bit, I used a border die instead of the flags. I loved how these colors looked together. My stamp is from Strawberry Jude, it's a multi layered image. I really like the end result here. Sadly I've needed more than my share of sympathy cards recently. Both my best friends from high school have lost there fathers to lung cancer in the last 2 weeks. I always like to send a handmade card, any little thing offers comfort when you go through the loss of a parent. I recall a neighbor randomly bringing us dinner one night after my dad passed. It really meant a lot to me. Now pardon me as I run off to check amazon for a bubble wrap suit for my mom. Thanks for stopping by today.
