Happy Holidays card making

Hello, my weekend got away from me once again , so here I am with a late night post before bed . I am entering this card into SSS Wednesday challenge "Christmas" , AAA cards "anything goes" , and also JUGS " red , green and gold" . I am happy with how this turned out , just not the mess on my table trying out different inks and stamps . Have a great night. 

Thinking of you

One last card to share before I head of to dreamland ... Much needed after today. This card is for my Aunt Bobby , she recently fell and broke her arm . I'm submitting it for SSS Wednesday challenge " thinking of you " and for just us girls #319 watercolor challenge . Have a good nite .

So I stayed home from work today to take my 11yr old son to see an orthopedic surgeon , he is not a ninja ... Broken elbow proves that . He is doing well tonight so I'm sneaking in craft time . This is my take on the precious metals challenge at "cas-usl Fridays " #145. Trying to build up my Christmas cards supply . Have a great night . 

Day off crafting

So today I'm enjoying a much needed day off. Plenty to keep me busy as we are headed to Fort Wayne shortly for a chess tournament for my kiddos .. Long day of sitting around tomorrow , I hope to finish my Christmas cards. I snuck in a little crafty time while doing some laundry . I'm playing along with Inky chicks "silent night" challenge and with SSS Monday  " letter N" challenge .

Hello, it's a stormy evening here outside Chicago ... So since I was hanging out in the basement anyway I decided to play along with this challenge . I liked how the negative from the watercolor end cover plate turned out I used that for a card also . Going to try to finish my laundry while I still have power . Good nite !

Hello , Happy Halloween to all. I have really busy day today so I crafted early . This is my take on MIM #228 , pearlized blending . This was really difficult to photograph well , never could get the shimmer to show as well as I would have liked . Hope you all have a great day .

Hello! Long time no post..... I've been busy, not making cards. ;(  New job isn't as close as I would like, 2 boys in chess 2 different days, and a few health issues. Hopefully all that is behind me now. This is a quick card I made for the Papertrey Anniversary challenge. The printable download images were great..... Greetings from a very wet stormy northwest Indiana . Baseball rained out so instead of stressing about my little guy playing in the World Series , I stamped while we have power . Hoping power stays on as hubby and father in law watching hockey. So on this rainy night an umbrella card seemed a perfect fit for the "make it Monday" challenge at papertrey ink . Greetings! finally I have something to post. Truth be told I wasn't feeling inspired, my job stress really got the better of me the last months..... but now that I am not working any longer I can relax and create again. This is something I created for 2 challenges... Make it Monday @ Papertrey Ink and Case Study. How you all have a great nite....Sam ****UPDATE***  4yrs later I am sharing this card again  for  PTI past, present and future challenge. You were asked to share a card you were most proud of. This card sort of tells the story of my life at that time... I had just ended a very stressful job and was seeking new employment . I wasn't feeling very inspired to create ( took a long break after this post) but still found some creative spark. This card was feature in PTI April newsletter... which makes me very proud. Also it's one of my more popular pins .  Happy to report I've been at my new (and much happier) job almost 4 yrs now.

Hello Sunshine! I wish, another gloomy winter day in northwest indiana. We finally got some snow yesterday and it seems people forgot how to drive in it.  I usually shy away from black backgrounds, favoring black as an accent color.... but i enjoyed challenging myself to try something outside my comfort zone. A last minute Make it Monday.....

Hello,  here I am last minute for the challenge. ..... but early for the birthday card. I have loved this technique since I first saw Betsy showcase it. I created this card for my nephew John, as you can tell he'll be 11 on the 9th.  Now off to finish the laundry...nite all. Sam
