Peace

Hello! Happy Friday. It's my day off and it hasn't started out well... Hubby's alarm went off at 4 am (what? ) and I couldn't fall back to sleep. So I've decided to craft for awhile. That always puts me in a better mood. Playing along with the Anything goes challenge at The Holly and The Ivy . I'm trying to make at least 4 Christmas cards a month so when Christmas gets here is won't be scrambling to make them all at once. I suppose I should start on that monster of a laundry pile , but I don't want to. Thanks for stopping by today.

Another share today

Hello! I'm back with another card to share for the Occasions challenge at Watercooler Wednesday. Since Mother's day is coming up I'm working hard on making plenty of cards. I sell them to my coworkers (cheap) , and the request list I a bit long right now. I might be burning the midnight oil tonight to complete them all. Once again ( I think I used the same die last week) I've used the Altenew rose flurries die, have I mentioned that I'm completely in love with this die? I have tried it in a few colors and it looks fabulous in all. I plan to order the rest of their floral dies soon. Thanks for stopping by today.

Current projects

Hello ! It's been a very busy few days here , I've been up to my ears in Mother's Day cards. My coworkers (and I have plenty of them) are keeping my busy with their requests. I'm playing along with the current color challenge at The Paper Players. I loved this inspiration photo, so calming. I actually made 4 of this card, since purple was a popular color request. I usually try to make things like Mother's day , sympathy, or birthdays in 4's since those are the types of cards I need the most. Thanks for stopping by today.

CC&S #267

Hello! Happy Terrific Tuesday, the valet at my office says that to me every week. It looks like the weather might actually warm up this week....forcast calls for 70 on saturday. Just in time for my son's track meet. I'm sharing my card for this week's sketch challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. I wanted to create a little scene and wasn't sure what . I got a sneak peak at Karen's card (one of the perks of being on the DT) and she used a cute little boat. I didn't have any cute little boats, so guess what? I had to order one ( so I blame Karen for this purchase, LOL! ) and luck would have it SSS had a sale on this stamp. Please make sure to check out Karen's cute card that inspired mine. Thanks for stopping by today.

Saturday night in

Greetings ! I'm enjoying a peaceful Saturday night in crafting away. The older I get the more I prefer to be alone, anyone else? I have my earbuds in listening to random stuff on Itunes (my music tastes are all over the place, 70's love songs, old country, movie scores, and Metallica ) Does anyone else listen to crazy stuff while crafting? For me it helps drown out the teenager screaming at his friends on Xbox. I'm playing along with a couple of challenges with this card. Color TYhrowdown's coolor challenge and Watercooler Wednesday's Feminine challenge. I think I did alright. Now back to more crafting, thanks for stopping by.

Simply Create #137

Hello! I'm sharing this card for the "use die cuts" challenge at Simply Create Too. I used the following die cuts to create this card (size A6 4.75x6.5) lawn fawn stitched rectangle , SSS Happy Birthday, and Altenew Rose flurries. I blended on some broken china DO for my background and water colored the roses and leaves using seedless preserves and forest moss DI. I achieved the lighter color on the rose by painting on some color then blotting it up with a paper towel . For the small flowers I started with the lightest color and then each layer i made darker, for the large flower I started with the darkest and the last layer was the lightest. I am in love with with this rose die set! I plan to use this a lot. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. Be back soon.

CC&S #266

Happy Tuesday to you all! I've been really busy, working a lot of extra hours due to a coworker out for back surgery (ouch) and several other offices short staffed as well. But extra money means more stamps and dies!!! I recently added this die (Altenew rose flurries) to my collection. It was a bit intimidating at first, but I LOVE the end result. Plan on seeing this one again real soon. This week we have a color challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches, these colors were really fun to create this card with. I sure hope you will play along with us . Be back soon.
