CC&S #271

Hello! I'm back with a card to share for the CAS Colours and Sketches sketch challenge. I chose to flip this sketch , but I feel it works great both ways. I needed a few baby shower cards so this cute stamp from Clearly Besotted fit perfectly. The weather is finally nice here so I'm looking forward to planting my garden this weekend. I hope you will consider playing along with us this week. Be back soon.

Something new !

Hello! I'm back with another card to share today. I joined a new design team " The Holly and the Ivy" , so look forward to more Christmas cards from me.The challenges are 'Anything goes" so it makes it so easy to play along. I love making my cards all throughout the year, so that I'm not scrambling at the last minute to make cards to send out. I also like to shop early, I'm one of those people. So In recent years I've done most of my shopping (since my boys are teens) on Amazon, so I've been buying a $25 gift card every pay day so when Christmas gets closer I will have plenty of gift cards to use. Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back soon.

CC&S #270

Welcome back! This week we have a color challenge at CC&S. This gave the perfect excuse to use this new stencil from SSS. I used some ranger texture paste and once it dried I used a marker to color the berries, I don't recommend doing that as I ruined the marker in the process. Oh well , lesson learned. Thanks for stopping by today.

Final card

Hello! I'm sharing my final card for the Love your pet blog hop. I picked this dog for my final card as it looks like my in laws pug Sparky. I'm running due to a very stressful day. Our stove died and I ordered a new one thru Lowe's and they have canceled my order twice, so still no stove... but one is on the way tomorrow. Off to check out what everyone else shared

Love your pet blog hop

Hello! I'm stopping in today to share a fun card I made for the "love your pet blog hop" host by Jessica Lynn Originals.Jessica was kind enough to send me this darling stamp set to play along with the blog hop. I think this sweet little dog would brighten anyone's day. Jessica is doing this hop to raise money for her local pet rescue group ( https://www.luckymuttsrescue.org/ )and will be donating for each card entered in the hop challenge, which is so sweet of her. I myself am owned by a rescue dog, we got her from our local rescue where she had been saved from the Chicago Area shelter 1 hour before they were to put her down to make room. She was adopted and returned 4 times before we adopted her. Apparently Belle( both a beauty and a beast) barked non-stop at the other 4 homes for the whole 48 hours she was there. The rescue group must have contacted us 6 times in the 1st 4 days to see how it was going, she hadn't made a peep. She found her family! She picked us, or my son Evan ! He volunteered for the rescue to spend time with dogs as our oldest son is terribly allergic, Belle is hypo-allergenic. Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back tomorrow with another card to share for the hop.

CC&S #269

Welcome back! I'm sharing my DT card for this week's sketch challenge at CAS Colours and sketches. I opted for a really simple color scheme for this card. I used blooming bunch from Studio Katia and the sentiment is part SSS and the die is from PPP. I usually have a pile of "parts" left over from previous projects, so I'm trying to use some of those up. Does anyone else do that? save the extra pieces ? I have a whole drawer full of stamped/diecut images I should assemble into cards. Thanks for stopping by today.
