CC&S #273

Hello! I'm back with a card to share for this week's sketch challenge at CC&S. I really struggled with this one, I've been doing a lot of florals lately and just couldn't figure a way to make this a floral. So I went with the next best thing alcohol inks! I love them! I may or may not have all of the colors available. I added a few stars for interest. Thanks for stopping by today, now off to check out what everyone else made.

You matter to me

Hello! I'm dropping in today with another card to share for the Rainbow challenge @ CAS Watercolor challenge. For this card I used the same PTI large butterfly die , but I used distress oxide inks smooshed on the diecut image and then spritzed water over it and let the water do the rest. I really like the softer feel this card has. Thanks for stopping by today.

Rainbow butterfly

Hello! I'm stopping by with this fun rainbow butterfly to share for the CAS Watercolor challenge. Their theme for May is "Rainbow". I made 2 butterfly cards (I'll share the other tomorrow) , both slightly different. For this card I used a large butterfly die from PTI and colored it with some Zig markers ,spritzed with water and let the water do it's thing. I added a light wash of blue behind the butterfly , so it looks like it's in the sky. Thanks for stopping by today.

Stencil it

Hello! I'm sharing this simple card I made for the Stencil it challenge at SSS Monday challenge. I used the Ledger Drops stencil for this background and a simple sentiment. I felt the background was busy enough and this card didn't really need alot of embellishments. Thanks for stopping by today

For once I have no where to go, nothing to clean, no kids school project to help with, just ME time! I loved this week's inspiration photo at Color Throwdown. Being a water sign I'm drawn to everything coastal.. colors, lighthouses, boats... I love it all. I'm low on Thank yous right now so I went that route with these colors. Thanks for stopping by today.

My best seller

Hello! I found a wonderful new challenge to play along with...Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers...doesn't the name alone crack you up? I thought I'd play along with their challenge " I is for Inky" ...I used ink on this and it's pretty snarky. I sell some of my cards to friends and co-workers and this is my best seller. I'm sure you understand why. Thanks for stopping in today, hope to be back soon.

Hello! Dropping by to share a card I made for my Mom for Mother's day. I've been too busy to share much lately... those boys and they're track meets. Happily the end of the school year is upon us, so I should be able to play along more. Today I'm playing along Addicted to CAS, challenge #136 MOM and Addicted to stamps and more  #292 Make your mark. I like to create cards I can mass produce if need be, so in recent years I've become alot more CAS. Thanks for stopping by today, hope to be soon.

Peace

Greetings! I'm back with a fun card to share for the Holly and the Ivy Christmas card challenge. Do you plan ahead for the Holidays? I really try to, but as a working mom of 2 very busy teenage boys it's really hard. One of the things I do try to keep up with all year is my Christmas cards, by making a couple( I make 2 of everything I make) a month it's not such a huge task come November. I usually will have a couple extra that my coworkers will purchase from me (cheap, because I just use the money to buy more stamps). I used the Be Merry sentiments and Holiday houses from Wplus 9, watercolored then fussy cut them out. Thanks for stopping in today.

CC&S #272

Hello! I'm back with another card to share for the CC&S color challenge. This weeks colors were a bit of a challenge for me at first, plenty of attempts in the trash. I used the Hello Lovely stamp from Concord & 9th and my Zig markers. I like to add a very light grey around my image and blend it out slightly to make it pop. I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with. It's interesting to see how different people use color combinations. I tend to lean towards colors I can use for florals. Be back soon.

CC&S #271

Hello! I'm back with a card to share for the CAS Colours and Sketches sketch challenge. I chose to flip this sketch , but I feel it works great both ways. I needed a few baby shower cards so this cute stamp from Clearly Besotted fit perfectly. The weather is finally nice here so I'm looking forward to planting my garden this weekend. I hope you will consider playing along with us this week. Be back soon.

Something new !

Hello! I'm back with another card to share today. I joined a new design team " The Holly and the Ivy" , so look forward to more Christmas cards from me.The challenges are 'Anything goes" so it makes it so easy to play along. I love making my cards all throughout the year, so that I'm not scrambling at the last minute to make cards to send out. I also like to shop early, I'm one of those people. So In recent years I've done most of my shopping (since my boys are teens) on Amazon, so I've been buying a $25 gift card every pay day so when Christmas gets closer I will have plenty of gift cards to use. Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back soon.

CC&S #270

Welcome back! This week we have a color challenge at CC&S. This gave the perfect excuse to use this new stencil from SSS. I used some ranger texture paste and once it dried I used a marker to color the berries, I don't recommend doing that as I ruined the marker in the process. Oh well , lesson learned. Thanks for stopping by today.

Hello! I'm sharing my final card for the Love your pet blog hop. I picked this dog for my final card as it looks like my in laws pug Sparky. I'm running due to a very stressful day. Our stove died and I ordered a new one thru Lowe's and they have canceled my order twice, so still no stove... but one is on the way tomorrow. Off to check out what everyone else shared

Love your pet blog hop

Hello! I'm stopping in today to share a fun card I made for the "love your pet blog hop" host by Jessica Lynn Originals.Jessica was kind enough to send me this darling stamp set to play along with the blog hop. I think this sweet little dog would brighten anyone's day. Jessica is doing this hop to raise money for her local pet rescue group ( https://www.luckymuttsrescue.org/ )and will be donating for each card entered in the hop challenge, which is so sweet of her. I myself am owned by a rescue dog, we got her from our local rescue where she had been saved from the Chicago Area shelter 1 hour before they were to put her down to make room. She was adopted and returned 4 times before we adopted her. Apparently Belle( both a beauty and a beast) barked non-stop at the other 4 homes for the whole 48 hours she was there. The rescue group must have contacted us 6 times in the 1st 4 days to see how it was going, she hadn't made a peep. She found her family! She picked us, or my son Evan ! He volunteered for the rescue to spend time with dogs as our oldest son is terribly allergic, Belle is hypo-allergenic. Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back tomorrow with another card to share for the hop.

CC&S #269

Welcome back! I'm sharing my DT card for this week's sketch challenge at CAS Colours and sketches. I opted for a really simple color scheme for this card. I used blooming bunch from Studio Katia and the sentiment is part SSS and the die is from PPP. I usually have a pile of "parts" left over from previous projects, so I'm trying to use some of those up. Does anyone else do that? save the extra pieces ? I have a whole drawer full of stamped/diecut images I should assemble into cards. Thanks for stopping by today.

Almost time to go pick up from track again.

Unicorns and rainbows

Hello! I'm working hard to keep up with all my card orders from my coworkers . I always use what I make from my sales to buy new supplies, and this stamp is one of my newest purchases . I have been wanting to ink it up and the current challenge at Paper Players gives me a great excuse to play along. I have more ideas for this cute stamp set in the future. Thanks for stopping by today.

CC&S #268

Hello! I'm sharing my card for this week's color challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. These are such summery colors I had to use a summer stamp. I wanted to use the bikini die again, but I has this butterfly I hadn't used yet, so I needed to ink it up. I put myself on a spending freeze (only stamps/dies) for the month of April. So for I'm doing good, it helps that I ordered a TON of stuff in march so I have lots that I haven't used yet. I'm saving all the money I make from card sales and my de-stash sales until May. I hope I make it all month. Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday bubbles

Hello! I'm crafting away this cold dreary day today. I've had a couple of friend's husbands die unexpectedly this week , so I'm only making cheerful happy cards today. What is happier than an elephant blowing bubbles? Not much. I used some PPP clear sequins for my bubbles and the stamp is MFT. I'll save this for a coworker who LOVES elephants next birthday. Playing along with the "bubbles" challenge at Addicted to CASand the 'make your mark" challenge at Addicted to Thanks for stopping by today.

Peace

Hello! Happy Friday. It's my day off and it hasn't started out well... Hubby's alarm went off at 4 am (what? ) and I couldn't fall back to sleep. So I've decided to craft for awhile. That always puts me in a better mood. Playing along with the Anything goes challenge at The Holly and The Ivy . I'm trying to make at least 4 Christmas cards a month so when Christmas gets here is won't be scrambling to make them all at once. I suppose I should start on that monster of a laundry pile , but I don't want to. Thanks for stopping by today.

Another share today

Hello! I'm back with another card to share for the Occasions challenge at Watercooler Wednesday. Since Mother's day is coming up I'm working hard on making plenty of cards. I sell them to my coworkers (cheap) , and the request list I a bit long right now. I might be burning the midnight oil tonight to complete them all. Once again ( I think I used the same die last week) I've used the Altenew rose flurries die, have I mentioned that I'm completely in love with this die? I have tried it in a few colors and it looks fabulous in all. I plan to order the rest of their floral dies soon. Thanks for stopping by today.

Current projects

Hello ! It's been a very busy few days here , I've been up to my ears in Mother's Day cards. My coworkers (and I have plenty of them) are keeping my busy with their requests. I'm playing along with the current color challenge at The Paper Players. I loved this inspiration photo, so calming. I actually made 4 of this card, since purple was a popular color request. I usually try to make things like Mother's day , sympathy, or birthdays in 4's since those are the types of cards I need the most. Thanks for stopping by today.

CC&S #267

Hello! Happy Terrific Tuesday, the valet at my office says that to me every week. It looks like the weather might actually warm up this week....forcast calls for 70 on saturday. Just in time for my son's track meet. I'm sharing my card for this week's sketch challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. I wanted to create a little scene and wasn't sure what . I got a sneak peak at Karen's card (one of the perks of being on the DT) and she used a cute little boat. I didn't have any cute little boats, so guess what? I had to order one ( so I blame Karen for this purchase, LOL! ) and luck would have it SSS had a sale on this stamp. Please make sure to check out Karen's cute card that inspired mine. Thanks for stopping by today.

Saturday night in

Greetings ! I'm enjoying a peaceful Saturday night in crafting away. The older I get the more I prefer to be alone, anyone else? I have my earbuds in listening to random stuff on Itunes (my music tastes are all over the place, 70's love songs, old country, movie scores, and Metallica ) Does anyone else listen to crazy stuff while crafting? For me it helps drown out the teenager screaming at his friends on Xbox. I'm playing along with a couple of challenges with this card. Color TYhrowdown's coolor challenge and Watercooler Wednesday's Feminine challenge. I think I did alright. Now back to more crafting, thanks for stopping by.

Simply Create #137

Hello! I'm sharing this card for the "use die cuts" challenge at Simply Create Too. I used the following die cuts to create this card (size A6 4.75x6.5) lawn fawn stitched rectangle , SSS Happy Birthday, and Altenew Rose flurries. I blended on some broken china DO for my background and water colored the roses and leaves using seedless preserves and forest moss DI. I achieved the lighter color on the rose by painting on some color then blotting it up with a paper towel . For the small flowers I started with the lightest color and then each layer i made darker, for the large flower I started with the darkest and the last layer was the lightest. I am in love with with this rose die set! I plan to use this a lot. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. Be back soon.

CC&S #266

Happy Tuesday to you all! I've been really busy, working a lot of extra hours due to a coworker out for back surgery (ouch) and several other offices short staffed as well. But extra money means more stamps and dies!!! I recently added this die (Altenew rose flurries) to my collection. It was a bit intimidating at first, but I LOVE the end result. Plan on seeing this one again real soon. This week we have a color challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches, these colors were really fun to create this card with. I sure hope you will play along with us . Be back soon.

Oh what fun!

Hello! Sneaking away for my mom duties a few minutes to share this card I made for the anything goes challenge at The Holly and the Ivy. I tend to favor green and red for my Christmas cards and I love to use classic holiday images. Not to say I don't like llamas , and fun images like that , but I usually lean toward the classics...Santa, snowmen, reindeer, etc. I'm throwing my hat in the ring for their DT call, I love the idea of helping inspire others to create their Christmas cards all year round. Thanks for stopping by today..now back to laundry, dishes, and baking that carrot cake for tomorrow.

CC&S 265

Hello! I'm dropping in with my DT card for CAS Colours and Sketches. This week we have a sketch challenge . I was aiming for a soft spring look with this card. I'm hoping for some spring like weather here soon. My spring cleaning with well under way here, just don't expect the craft area to be clean... I'm a messy crafter. Thanks for stopping by today.

Holiday Blessings

Hello! Stopping by with a card to share for the 1st CAS Christmas Card Challenge "Holly" . I created 2 cards and am sharing them both here. Card 1 made using distress inks to watercolor the Holly image, card 2 I used distress oxide inks to watercolor the image. I'm favoring card 1 because the colors are more vibrant. Thanks for stopping by today
