Make it Monday #35

Here is my take on papertrey's make it monday make your own washi tape. I used background gingham stamp on my "tape" .  I had a little trouble with this challenge, because i kept getting my fingers all sticky from the tape and had a hard time getting the tape where i wanted it. off to work now, another busy day for me. Sam

I think i might be the very last entry for Mojo Monday....nothing like waiting until the last minute huh? i had a very busy weekend, co-hosted a bridal shower, hunting for flooring and costumes. i need a day off from my day off. Sam

TGIF!! finally it's here. My favorite way to unwind is to create cards. Make it Monday #34 thick chip's

This is my Christmas card this year. I fell in love with the bell stamp/die set the moment the sneak peak was shown.  The beautiful red bow is made using Erin Lincoln's thick chip technique . i am really happy she shared that idea with all of us, because i love chipboard and love the idea of making my own chip pieces from my favorite dies. thanks Erin.

Jugs Fall 3-d challenge

This little goodie box used to house felt flowers. I chose to recycle a box i had not seen used yet.   I have filled it with candy corn and placed it within view of my messy sons, tempting them if they clean their room...... sadly this has yet to happen.  Guess i'll be eating those myself after all. Cas-ual friday #21

This is my take on the cfc#21, monocromatic with brown. I chose to make it a manly sympathy card, since those are the most difficult for me to come up with ideas for and i'm at that age where my friends seem to be losing their parents. Sadly i received my fair share of these this summer when my own father passed. if you are luckly enough to have both parents love them everyday like it's the last. well off to go finish packing his place up. have a good sunday. Just us girls design team call

 Hello, a happy thursday to you all. The "just us girls" blog is looking for a new Design team member, so here's my entry. They wanted a 3-d templete of my choosing(i choose the gift bag) and the card was to be from a sketch they posted.  I usually try for fun and whimsical items, because to bring a smile to someone's face helps brighten their day. So let me tell you all a little about myself..... I've been married for 10yrs to my "love at 1st sight" Mike, we have 2 little boys  and i work full time at an ophthmalogy practice that treats eye diseases. My job can be very stressful , so i like to un-wind by creating cards .  Somedays i burn the midnight oil trying to wind down.  Good luck to all who enter this challenge. Sam

Wonderful Window

This is my take on the Our Creative Corner "wonderful windows" challenge. It's been a very busy week for me , as i've said in my previous posts. This week i worked(40hrs), open house at the kids school, baseball practice, laundry( that pile never goes away), and made over 75 cards....70 for my co-workers upcoming baby shower...... and now for some rest.  enjoy!

This is my take on the Simon says stamp multi fold challenge.  This card opens at the top and folds down, but i designed it to look like a present. Guess i'm already thinking Christmas.....hmm? i guess i 'd better start shopping soon then.

Here's my take on this weeks colors for "The Play Date Cafe".  The pattern papers are for the stella rose collection, stamp is PTI.  I enjoy the color challenges because it pushes me out of my comfort zone. Stamp Happy..OCC challenge

So here's my take on the Our Creative Corner stamp happy challenge. Using pattern paper to stamp on. It didn't photograph as well as i'd hoped.. there is a background stamped on the aqua paper. It's been a long week at work , so i'm off to bed.... wishing all goodnight and good sight. Sam

Make it monday #30

This is my take on the make it mnoday colored pencil challenge. I had not tried baby oil w/ my colored pencils, because i was so busy having a love affair with my copic's ....hehe. I really liked the effect, blended the pencils beautifully. All supplies(but the sanded grey paper) are PTI...i love their stuff.

Lily pad cards challenge

This card is for the resist challenge @ Lily pad cards.   I used a fine linen card base , clear embossing powder , s scattered leaf boarder stamp, and variuos distress inks. I think it ended up looking like patterned paper. thanks for looking. Sam

With Sympathy

Who doesn't need to have a few of these on hand?  This card is for the CASE study signature style challnge , if ever i get stumped i resort to my fav's beautiful pp , pti's fillable frames and the butterflies.  Also entering this in the CLEAN & SIMPLE color challenge, i have chosen the so saffon, soft sky, black and white combo. thanks for looking Sam

So here's my take on #29, freestyle coloring. Having a bit of OCD i found this challenge very difficult. Color outside the lines, me ? never.... so to find all flaws, i die cut the colored piece.  Supplies all PTI, well except the copics.

Here's my take onthe Papertrey Make it Monday #28 challenge. I chose to cut the extra off after the glitter was dry, to show more of the pattern paper off. Supplies: PTI dies mat stack 5 and limitless labels, stamp communique curves sentiments, ribbon ocean tides, and cardstock spring moss, pattern paper stella rose mabel 6x6 paper pack form my minds eye.  Enjoy, i had fun making it.

This is my take on decreasing apertures for the make it monday challenge.  I really enjoyed trying something different.  Suppiles used : Dies PTI limitless layers and mat stack 4. Stamps PTI all booked up(image) and Giga Guide lines (sentiment), also used various pti inks and dotted ribbon...because every card looks better with polka dots.... don't you think?  thanks for stopping by.

Left overs? what left overs?

Usually when i make cards i have some pieces left over.  I always save these, usually until they pile up too high and i go through and purge most of the stack of pieces. I'm loving this blissful line from authentique right now, so i used the left overs from my previous sypmathy card to make this one.  Thanks for looking.
