Hello, hope your week is going well so far. I am less busy now that my son only has 1 afterschool activity. This leaves my more time to create things. I'm starting on graduation cards , I will need several. I liked this sketch because it works well for this small die I've been wanting to play with. I hope you will join us.

Hello, happy sunday. I'm recovering my a craft show I did yesterday. I sold some of my cards. Being of a few design teams , means I always have more cards than I can use. So when I can I try to sell off my extra stock. This week's Christmas Card Challenge features a die cut wreath. I hope you will play along with us. Now off to soak my feet... I was on them all day yesterday.

Hello, happy tuesday. Only a few more days until the craft show I'll be at .... getting nervous. I set a goal for myself to take 250 cards to sell , not there yet. Pin-sights challenge

Hello, I'm finally home and have a chance to share this card for the Classroom's Pin-sights challenge. When I saw the pins this month I knew I wanted to do the hydrangea in purple. I love this stamp , it's so pretty.  I love Pinterest ( kind of an addict 30,000 pins ) , so this is a challenge I will embrace whole heartedly . Well now off to bed, it's been a long day and I need to warm up after standing outside in the cold for a track meet. See you soon.

Hello, hope your week has started out well. I'm really running around these days. My youngest is in track and baseball , I work 40 plus hours and I'm trying to get ready for a craft show I'll be doing later this month. I chose to flip this week's sketch , I just liked it better this way. I really had a hard time envisioning the end result for this one. Numerous attempts in trash . I am pleased with this one. Now off to make more.

MIM #283

Final card for the day, promise. I created this for a co-workers birthday. Playing along with Papertrey Ink's MIM challenge, water color wash. I watercolored the background paper and then added this gorgeous die cut and a sentiment. Simple, didn't take much time (except for the paper to dry) and I'm pleased with how it turned out.I plan to make a few more using this design and other colors and sentiments. Still crafting away

Hello, I've been busy most of the day crafting. Enjoying the quiet time alone after a busy week. I'm playing along and trying out for the design team over at AAA cards. As soon as I saw their inspiration photo I thought of this stamp set. I thought about doing more colorful feathers, but settled on a tone on tone color . It just looked less busy, more clean and simple. Wish me luck! see you soon.

Hello, happy sunday to you. I hope you weekend is going well. I hope to find time to relax.... my youngest has us on the run lately. He is in track at school and a local little league baseball team and they over lap most days. I wish I had the energy my 12yr old does. Today's card is for Christmas Card Challenges. I rarely use my cricit , it collects more dust than anything. I used a Christmas cartridge for the tree and added some ruby slipper nuvo drops for ornaments. I hope you will join us. Now I'm off to take a nap.

Crafty day

Hello, hope your weekend is going well. I'm planning to craft away my day today. I managed to get all my chores done yesterday in between baseball and dinner with friends. I'm working on sympathy cards today. I am always scrambling to make one when I need one, so I'm going to make several today. A hint of pink

Good evening, I hope your week went well. I've been out of sorts all day, not sure why. So now that I have a little time to relax I'm going to play along with a few challenges. Starting with the Simon Says Stamp wednesday "hint of pink" challenge. I recently picked up this sentiment stamp and wanted to use it. Hello , happy Cinco de Miyo to you. We are celebrating at work today. Big pot luck for lunch... yumm! I'm sharing my DT card for Simply Create Too 's MAy challenge use a digi stamp. This is an image I 've had for while and if you know my aversion to people on cards you'll understand why this is one of the only digi stamps I own. Good evening, last minute entry for PTI's MIM challenge. I don't own any PTI stencils so I made my own using the quadfoil coverplate die and a piece of acetate, I lightly watercolored my paper, die cut a few roses and stamped on the sentiment AFTER  I assembled the card. Thankful for my Misti , I had planned on die cutting a sentiment , but it didn't look right. Thanks for stopping by.

Hello, I'm back with another card to share for the Christmas card challenge. The challenge we followed a color scheme., I saw those colors and instantly thought of a wintery wonderland. I am happy to say that currently there is now wintery wonderland outside my door . I used a makeup brush for the background inking, then used a stencil , inked the white , then used a texture paste for highlight. I wish it photographed better, the trees have a soft glisten to them. I hope you will join us.

Hello, happy sunday to you. I hope you are having a nice relaxing weekend. My boys are finished with the chess season for this year, so I should have more free time. I've been hard at work on my holiday cards, I should have plenty by Thanksgiving. This week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges is based on the photo of a gingerbread house. Hello, happy tuesday to you. I can't believe march is almost over.... time flies. For this week's sketch challenge at CAS colours and sketches I tried a new (to me) technique . I made my background using watercolor paper and various nail polishes. I saw this technique recently and wanted to give it a go. I added the nail polish to a pan off water (use pan you won't put food in) dipped the paper in and then let dry. The drying took a long time, so left mine overnight. I flipped the sketch . I hope you will join us.

Hello, happy you stopped in. This week the theme at Christmas Card Challenges is 'Mittens" I sure could use them today. We suddenly went from no snow most of the winter to several days of snow in a row. I used a spellbinders die for the mittens and several scrap pieces of paper for the rest of the card. I've challenged myself to only use scrap pieces of paper this month (expect card bases) . I hope to put a large dent in my huge pile. Thanks for stopping by.

March Pin-sights

Hello, it's been a really busy week. My work week was nuts, lots of overtime this week. And today I got to spend 9 hours at the Indiana state chess finals (thankfully our town hosted ) , so I'll be up de-stressing... err making cards. Anyone else find that crafting is stress relieving? I am playing along with the Classroom's pin-sights challenge. I took my inspiration from the hydrangeas in the bottom row of photos. Thanks for visiting.  Off to color something.

Design Re-do

Hello, last minute post... rough day. We had crazy snow squalls and it took me forever to get to work, got there late, spun car around (thankfully didn't hit anything), get into to work to find all the locals ( those who live in the city in work, i  live 45 minutes away) were running late, work up alone, and then after everyone arrived i check my cell (which has been going crazy in my pocket the whole time) to find that hubby was in an accident, he is ok, car not so much. SO i'm going to bed early! PTI has a challenge I wanted to take part in , you choose a card you made that you weren't happy with and re-do it. The original of this card was not my favorite, I felt it lacked something. Here is my re-do. now off to bed, nite all.

March challenge

Hello, It's been a crazy day here. We had a major software update to our EMR at work... yikes! It didn't go smoothly. So to unwind I'll be coloring the rest of the night. I recently picked up this lovely stamp, I couldn't wait to color it. I made a few different versions, as I wasn't sure which color I liked best . I tried to do a little no line coloring, but I really liked the lines in the flower. I'm going to play along with The Ton March "lucky" challenge.. Have a great night, off to color.

Hello, I stopping in today to share my DT card for this weeks color challenge at CAS Colour and Sketches. I really struggled with this color combo, I tossed plenty of attempts in the trash. But I really feel this is what makes this challenge good, it pushes you out of your comfort zone. I tend to like blues, aqua and green alot.... if you follow my Instagram you already know this. Hello, I'm here with another fun sketch challenge for CC&S. I wanted to make a fun floral card when I saw this sketch. I love this SSS stamp, I worked perfectly for this sketch. I used distress inks in picked raspberry, worn lipstick , spun sugar, and mowed lawn to watercolor the flowers and leaves. I stamped a tone on tone word background, but it hasn't really photographed well. I hope you will join us for this challenge.
