Freshly made sketches #381

Hello! I've been suffering with allergies today, so I am staying in playing with my craft supplies. I just received this fabulous washi tape (the ton stamps) and really wanted to use it. The sketch at Freshly Made Sketches is perfect to show off this washi tape. I covered a piece off white cardstock with the tape, added the purple papers and die cut the thanks sentiment from some rose gold glitter cardstock  to finish it off. Now  I need to find some more kleenex... achooo ! Thanks for stopping by today.

Sleigh bells ring...

Hello ! Happy Tuesday, I'm sharing my card for the Holly and Ivy challenge. It's wonderful to be so far ahead in my Christmas cards . It's finally supposed to be warming up here this week. I'm anxious to work in the yard. I think I might not have lost as many tulips as I thought. In the fall the day  after I planted over 100 pink tulips bulbs I noticed a squirrel digging everywhere I had planted . I was out looking around yesterday and saw several coming up. Thanks for stopping by today.

CC&S #314

Hello! It's Tuesday, so that means I'll be sharing a card for CAS Colours and Sketches. This week we have a sketch to play with. I love this die , but often struggle with ways to use it. For this card I used alcohol inks and alcohol pearls , then die cut the madel, embossed a sentiment , and finished with a couple of clear sequins. I'm really happy with the look. Once I get a couple more (who am I kidding the rest of the) acohol pearls I plan to make this in another color combo. Now off to figure out why someone is blowing off fireworks (at 11pm on a Sunday)  or If we are under attack. Thanks for stopping by.

CC&S #313

Hello! Happy Tuesday to you all. I'm sharing my DT card for this week's color challenge.I have plenty of new "goodies" to play with after my weekend at Create, anyone else go? I enjoyed the more masculine colors, I often struggle with ideas for guy cards. I ink blended the colors , heat embossed my image and then added a simple sentiment. Quick and easy card for the challenge. I'm sure I will use this design in the future. Thanks for stopping by today.

Have a lovely day

Hello! Hope you Monday is going well. I thought work would be busier than it was, but happily it went pretty smoothly today. I plan to craft some this evening, I need to make quite a few thinking of you and sympathy cards . I think this floral image will work great for both of those cards as well. Playing along with The Paper Players " one layer " challenge. Thanks for stopping by today.

Watercolor of vellum

Hello! I've been busy playing with some new supplies , enjoying a nice relaxing day. I'm playing along with the challenge at CAS Watercolor card challenge... the theme is watercolor on vellum. I wasn't sure how this would turn out, but I'm pleased with it. I heat embossed the image, and then did my watercoloring on the back. I found that I have to do an extra layer of color to get the color I was going for. I used some gold glitter washi tape to hold the vellum down, I didn't want to risk an adhesive showing. Thanks for stopping by today.

The Holly and Ivy #45

Hello and welcome!I'm sharing my card for The Holly and Ivy challenge blog.  I'm excited to be working on my holiday cards so early. I really went through a lot last year , so I'll need plenty this year. One of the cards I need most are thank you cards. I like to make special ones. This is an idea I saw on Pinterest and wanted to try it.The best part of making your holiday cards ahead.... Those stamps you fell in love with are back in stock after January. I used Ken Oliver colorbursts , sprinkler on very lightly and then sprayed with water and let the powder do it's magic. I am loving these colorbursts right now. I have only 1 collection, but I see that changing in the near future. Our challenge is an "Anything goes" challenge , so we would love for you to play along. Thanks for stopping by today.
