last card of 2016

Hello, Happy New Year's Eve. I hope you are doing well today. I have a busy , busy day ahead of me .. so not much crafting time today. I wanted to do one more card for the Classroom's Pinterest challenge. I only recently discovered Ellen Huston's store ( how was i missing out for so long? ) so my supplies are limited , but I did have this bird die . I hope to make one more before the deadline... now off to do erands, haircut, dog groomer, clean the house, make food for company, and host NYE party ...anyone else tired yet? 

PTI December blog hop

Hello , I hope you are doing well today. I wanted to play along with this month's blog hop... but 1st I had to clean up my craft space... yikes! after making my Christmas cards I had a huge mess. I received some nice crafting supplies for Christmas , so I needed to put those in their place also.I took my inspiration from the assorted papers in the photo and used that idea for my background. I decided to make a birthday card. Because I'm sick of making Christmas cards. I think I made 200 ? not sure , lost count. Off to check out what everyone else made, see you soon.   

Tis the Season

Hello, hope you are doing well. I've had a couple of rough days at work this week, so some coloring time was much needed. I have been looking for a good poinsettia stamp/die for ages, I'm a bit picky. I recently stumbled upon the Ellen Huston store , oh my !!! I had no idea what I was missing in life! Several orders later , I finally picked up this stunning stamp . LOVE!!!!!! Since it's an essential by Ellen I'm going to play along with the challenge they have going. There is a great prize... eek ! I would love to win.. I have my eye on the peony stamp next. Flowers are always great for watercoloring after work. Off to bed, tomorrow is gonna be a killer at work .....See you soon.

O' Christmas tree

Hello, popping in to share this card I made using my SSS holiday kit..... I love the tree stencil and the reindeer die. I am trying out different ideas for my own holiday cards... nope still haven't done them yet. I hope to be able to do them all on saturday while my kids play in a chess tournament, lots of time by myself. Playing along with SSS monday challenge.

Seasonal color challenge

Hello, I'm so excited to share with you all that I was chosen for one of the design team spots at CAS Colours and Sketches. This week the color challenge asked that you select colors from one of their previous challenges and make a seasonal card with it. I selected  color challenge #174 . Thankful

Greetings on this election day. When i went to vote today one of the poll clerks asked me how my "election return " was.... 12 yrs ago hubby and i went to vote on our way to the hospital for a "routine " test , but the ladies at the poll insisted on cutting us ahead. They said they weren't delivering my baby . I told them I wasn't due for another 6 weeks.... wonder what they saw ? I arrived for route test and was found to be in active labor.. i didn't feel a thing. So those ladies were right, we watched the returns from labor and delivery . My "return " is a happy healthy 12yr old boy. Which is my happy election story for today, thinking we could use one tonight. Sharing my card for this weeks color challenge at CAS colours & sketches. Hello,  I hope your Sunday is going better than mine. I managed to turn my once white work scrubs pink, left post it notes in the pocket. I've spent most of my day trying everything I could.... still pink . So while i wait on wash load #6 (fingers crossed) i will share with you my card for Christmas card challenges #47 . You are pawsome

Hello, hope you weekend is going well. I'm trying to sneak in some card making time, not much luck. Our furnace didn't turn on for the season and a new one is being put in. My crafting area is in the same room as the furnace, so not able to work. I created these cards really early this morning for the Case this sketch challenge #196. They were asking for cards to donate to a humane society.. so this is what i came up with.  Thanks for stopping by.

Hello, I've been waiting all day to be able to Hop along . I start work before the Blog hop starts and when I got home those pesky kids of mine wanted to be fed... so crafting had to wait. Hello , hope you had a nice day. I am sharing my card for this week's MIM.. dry brush technique. Since I own no re-inkers( i know how sad) , I used white and gold paint mixed together over the red cardstock. I am happy with how this turned out. Thanks for stopping by. 

A fun color challenge

Hello, hope your monday went well. I had a very busy day at work, but it went by quickly. I came across a new color/sketch challenge blog the other day. , and guess what they are looking for new design team members.. exciting ! So I'm going to throw my hat in the ring and give it a try.. Here is my card for their color challenge. I saw these colors and thought Christmas card right away. One must make more , since i sold all the ones i made to hubby's co-workers. One of the perks of hubby working with all women. I am off to bed now, so i will be well rested for work tonight, no one wants the person poking them in the eye sleepy. 

Late night crafting

Hello, I'm at it late this evening.  I was cleaning the basement , in hopes of expanding my craft area a bit. Fingers crossed hubby will see my vision . I created this card to the Curtain call Glittery gourds challenge. I just couldn't leave the pumpkins plain. Have a great night.

Hello , hope your week is going well. I have been really busy with my boys so far, so this is the 1st I've had to stamp anything. I am in need of male birthday cards, so i wanted to do something more masculine colors.  I am so thankful my sentiment covered my goof ... i didn't allow the ink to dry long enough before pulling the mask off and tore a tiny piece . thanks for visiting.

Bad day= late night crafting

Greetings! I hope your day was better than mine. It went south around lunchtime.... 1st a patient who should have had surgery last year came back and can longer be repaired , 2nd patient told he needed surgery passed out, and then on my way home i found out the lunch lady refused my child lunch today because he was -$1.37. Left scathing message for principal on monday. So i'll be up really late crafting away my stress. I picked up this fabulous stamp set so i thought i'd ink it up for the SSS wednesday challenge and Addicted to stamps Holiday challenge. Have a good night.
