CC&S #290

Hello! I've had a very busy weekend and need a few days to re-group. My oldest ran in his big cross country meet of the season (2500 runners) on Saturday, so up extremely early to get him on the bus, watched said meet (kid did awesome , personal record) , cleaned for birthday party on Sunday, dinner with HS best friend who was in town for reunion (30yrs, I couldn't go due to meet) , and on Sunday we went to hubby's company picnic and then we hosted a birthday party for my mom. I need a nap. This week promises to be easier, but next week won't be. I'm sharing my card for the CAS Colours and Sketches color challenge .I chose these colors , I've been excited to make fall/Halloween cards. I am excited to see what people come up with, there is always someone who does something unexpected.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Monster Birthday

Hello! I'm popping with a quick share for the SSS Stamptember exclusive Concord and  9th challenge. I was lucky enough to snag one of these adorable stamps before it sold out. I learned after missing one I really really wanted to buy it right when I see it. I colored this and made the splatters using my Zig's. I plan to made a bunch in several different colors . Thanks for stopping by today.

The Holly and The Ivy #36

Hello ! I'm stopping in today to share my card for The Holly and The Ivy's anything goes challenge. I was playing around with my alcohol inks and wanted to create some trees with the piece I made.  This is an older Hampton art stamp/die set, but I love it and use it often. I am feeling good about the Christmas holiday, I have lots of cards completed, a few gifts purchased, and have been saving $5 bills everytime I get one (have a big pile of them now) , so I should ready sooner this year. I've had a crazy day today (writing this monday night) , I work for a retina practice in the professional building of a hospital and there was a CODE Green today...bomb threat. Lots of fun walking all our elderly patient down 4 flights of stairs then across the street, only to find out it was some jerks idea of a joke. Thankfully the weather was good. So now I'm off to bed. Thanks for stopping in to visit my blog today.

CCC&S #289

Hello! I'm back with this week's sketch challenge card. I'm really getting into the Halloween spirit with my card making, anyone else? I've been trying to sort my craft room a bit, attempting to be better organized. I keep finding stamps I forgot about. It's like getting new stuff. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with using this sketch. Thanks for stopping by today.

Tis the season

Good morning! It's a lovely fall morning here, cool breeze, you can hear the leaves on the trees. I've been trying to free hand watercolor lately, I still need practice. I created this for the CAS watercolor challenge. I made one similar last week, but it seemed so plain, so this one I added a few red paint splatters for ornaments and used a red card base. I think this one is more festive. I'm going to try to plant some mums today, so I'm off to work on that. Thanks for stopping by today.

CC&S #288

Hello! I'm popping in to share my card for CC&S, this month I'm hosting the challenges. I have had this Lil' inkers die for awhile now and have been looking for just the right challenge to use it. I water colored a night sky background in 2 of this week's colors and used the 3rd color for the moon. I've been enjoying some crafting time today , the benefits of an extra day off this week. This might be the only day I'm not driving to a kid's meet, or taking one to physical therapy (youngest grew ALOT over the summer and has some growth plate swelling, nothing major) , or helping at their school. The things we do for our kids, it goes by so fast (TOO FAST). Well now back to crafting, thanks for stopping by today.

The Holly and the Ivy #35

Happy Tuesday to you all. I've been really busy with my boys the last week and this week promises to be just as busy. I'm glad to sneak in some me time to craft. I've been working on my water coloring skills recently, always room for improvement. I hand painted the tree ad added a little bit of white paint splattered over the top. The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti. I've been making 2- 4 cards at a time lately so I hope to be ready by Thanksgiving time this year. Thanks for stopping by today.
