Hello! I'm back with a sketch challenge card this time.  Still plugging away on my Valentine cards, how about you guys? I wanted to create a sketch that could be for something other than just Valentine cards, you could use a large and small floral image in place of the hearts. Good Morning! I've been wanting to play along with this color challenge all week, but life got in the way. I finally found a few minutes of time to myself and came up with this . The floral stamp is from the greetery , I just love this stamp. I my masking stencil (TE) for the background , inks are Gina K and sentiment is from SSS. I'm happy with how it turned out. Sometimes using no traditional colors for flowers or leaves really is fun. Thanks for stopping by, have a great week.

Hello! I'm hosting the challenges this month over at CAS Colours and Sketches. With the Valentine's day holiday fast approaching , I wanted to use colors that lend to Valentine's cards easily. I don't give my hubby a Valentine, but I do sell plenty at work. The dies used for this card are: heart; Altenew, love ; Memory box, hearts ; SSS and the sentiment is Taylored expressions. Hello! Today I am sharing this fun card made with Concord and 9th's mistletoe messages dies and the sentiment is from the sentiment packs at SSS. I die cut the leaves using 2 colors of green and then used a couple markers for shading to add some interest to the leaves. I picked up lots of Christmas stamps and die sets on black friday , but didn't get around to using them as I was really sick most of December... no worries I have plenty of time to use them now and be ahead of things for next Christmas. I hope you all will play along with us as our challenge is always an anything goes challenge.

Hello! I can't believe January is almost over, where did the month go? Anyone else fell like the month just flew by?  So here is my card for this week's sketch challenge. The stamps are all MFT , I colored them using some Arteza markers (cheaper the copic). I've been working at better organizing my craft space lately, trying to purge the things I don't use any longer and move the things I use all the time closer to my table. I hope everyone is doing well and I hope you will play along with us .

Hello! I'm back with another color challenge, don't these colors make you long for spring? I want to be outside in my yard planting things. So since I can't plant anything I made a card with a lovely floral die cit. I used watercolor paper to cut the floral and then watercolored the pieces before assembling it on my card. I tend to go through sympathy cards in spurts in the winter months, so best stock up on them now. Thanks for stopping by today.

The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge #63

Hello! I am back to making Christmas cards, good to start early. This year I plan to make 4-5 of each of the cards I make for this challenge. Why so many? Well I sell my cards to friends, coworkers, in 3 little shops locally and do 1 craft show in November. This past Christmas I sold so many that I ran out and needed to make more to send out to those on my own Christmas card list.... well that didn't happen. I came down with pneumonia 2 weeks before Christmas and was just too sick to make anything. So in an effort to be better prepared for things this year I think making batches of the same card will help out . Once you come up with the initial design the reproducing part is easy. For this card I used a die set from MFT , did a bit of ink blending behind the dies, gold splatter over the whole card and finished it off by adding nuvo crystal glaze over the berries.
