Wednesday challenge

Hello! Happy Wednesday to you all. I've had a busy week with lots going on, fundraiser events to attend, swim meets , track meets, work, dog had to go to ER vet (spider bite ,swollen face) , little sleep. I did find a bit of time to craft. I've been trying to come up with more "Man birthday" cards.. it's really hard! So this week's challenge at Watercooler Wednesday is perfect , also playing along with SSS work it Wednesday. I hope to find some inspiration also. Thanks for stopping by today

Hello! I'm back with this tasty little number! I love ice cream, frozen yogart, italian ice... all of it! This is my card for the CAS Colours and Sketches color challenge. I have been waiting for just the right color challenge to break out this stamp set (Concord & 9th "here's the scoop") , yes I have some stamps I haven't used yet. If you read my post a few challenges ago.. I refer to my stamps as my collection... no idea how many I own, but it's ALOT!!! and guess what I just ordered more! Someone stage an intervention please. LOL! I sure hope I'm not the only one. I am excited to see what everyone has come up with , and of course see what fun stamps they used.

More crafting

Hello! I'm back to share a card I created for a card making class I teach to a friend and her mother (card I taught was the green one) . I was inspired by the technique Jennifer McGuire used with distress oxides and water. I taught that for the class, but when I got home I played around with adding color back to the areas I removed color from. I'm pleased with the outcome. Hello! I'm back again with a fun card to share for the SSS Monday challenge "Spring/Easter"and Just Add Ink's challenge . I've been busy crafting away this weekend, hoping to find some more time to craft today. I used some Hero Arts prisma glitter to "sugar coat" the bunnies to make them look more peep like. Warm Wishes

Greetings on this blustery Wednesday evening.I am sharing a card I made for a couple of challenges playing along with Merry Monday #281 (inspiration photo) and The Holly and the Ivy 's anything goes challenge. I love to make my Christmas cards throughout the year so I am not stressed when November rolls around and rushing to make 50 cards at once. The only stress I have is do I have enough stamps.. Thanks for stopping in tonight, now off to bed so I can poke people in the eyes tomorrow. Yep I get paid to do that all day.

Hello! I'm back again with a card to share for this week's sketch challenge. I just recently picked up this stamp ( Kind Soul -Wplus 9) and wanted to use it for this sketch , the die is Pretty Pink Posh.  I like making Thank You's because I always use them the most. I've been trying to do some sort of purge to my craft supplies, so I have way more than I have room for. Hopefully I'll be able to part with some. Thanks for stopping in today.

Hello! I'm popping in to share my card for this week's color challenge at CAS Colour and Sketches. I spent a few days pouring over my stamp collection (yep that's how I refer to the vast amounts of stamps I own) to find just the right one for these colors. I ended up using the same stamp set I used last week, SSS Showers and Flowers. It might be my new favorite! This was a lot of fun to watercolor. I did do a very light tan wash around the image to make it pop a bit more. I've been purging things in my house the last few weeks and I know I should hit my craft area, but it truly pains me to part with any of my stamps. I love them all! So stay tuned if I can actually do it, it really needs a good purge or maybe I'll just take over more of our basement? we don't really need a laundry room do we?

Anything goes

Hello! Hope you day is going well. It's my "friday" so I'm thrilled to have a 3 day weekend to craft and relax. Lots of recent home improvement projects have left me with a well organized and nice clean house, YEAH! So I plan to make some cards for a few challenges and maybe binge watch something on netflix. I am playing along with the SSS Wednesday challenge today. I love this tree stamp !! I made a bunch of these for my coworker who loves all tree things and the color green. I'm happy to report she LOVED them. I hope to make a few different versions of this card. Thanks for stopping by today.

Hello! I'm finally down to the end of my home remodeling projects , YEAH!!! I'm now able to craft some more! I created 2 cards for this challenge, because I LOVED this stamp and wanted to try it outlined stamped and no-line coloring. This week's sketch was a great one I can see myself using it again real soon. I sure hope you will join in the fun, I love to see what everyone else comes up with. Be back soon.

Hello! It's been a very eventful last week here, not all good.  We are still mid remodel in the basement( yikes the dust) , working, and unfortunately I had to replace my car. I took it in for a recall on the air bags and the dealership shattered the screen to the navigation, rendering it as well as several other things un-usable. Long story  short it, the replacement was as much as the value of the car, dealership took good care of me , so I upgraded. I did end up with the car I've wanted for a long time, so I guess that is good. I'm sharing this fun card for this week's color challenge over at CAS Colours and Sketches. I long for warmer weather as It's currently snowing a lot , but in 2 days it's supposed to be 62 degrees... Chicago weather, go figure. I can't wait to see what fun cards you all will made this week. Hello! Happy Tuesday! Since it's the day before Valentine's day I made my card a Valentine. I have been so busy with home remodeling this last week I almost forgot to share my card. OOPS! We repainted our living room, new furniture and rug, no on to the basement family room. Hubby is ripping out old carpet and putting in? , he hasn't made up his mind yet. So I've hardly had time for cardmaking (frowny face) . It will be all finished soon enough and then I'll have time again. I opted for some ink blending hearts for the striped background, I couldn't get mine straight (i threw a lot of attempts in trash) , some die cut hearts and a simple sentiment. Now back to work, see you soon.

This week's colors were alot of fun to play with, I thought floral right away and expect lots of florals for those playing along. I used the painted rose stamp set from Altenew, I previously used this set in another challenge in a different color and I knew I would find another use for it soon. Hello! I'm popping in quickly (waiting for end table to dry so I can paint it) with a card to share for the Paper Players challenge #379 Valentines. I made a bunch of Valentine's for my coworkers so this challenge came at a good time for me as I was just getting around to photographing them. I photograph all my cards so I can refer back to previous cards for inspiration. I die cut my hearts for gold paper and a piece I alcohol inked. Now back to painting. Thanks for visiting

Swoon challenge

Hello! Starting my busy Saturday already tired! My son had 6 friends over last night and they were noisy and kept me awake. I used the opportunity to make a bunch of Valentine cards to take to work on monday. I'm sharing this one for the Swoon challenge @ CASology, as it's the most CAS of the ones I made last night. Now off to get donuts for said teenagers , then grocery shopping before the snow gets here, take teenager to get permit(need prayers for that) , make soup, and finally paint the living room.... see why I'm already tired ? Pinsights challenge

Hello! I've been wanting to play along with the Classroom's Pin sights challenge.... did you see this month's pin sights? Gorgeous colors! I finally made a little time to craft today. We are getting ready to re-do our living room(FINALLY) and I was washing walls today, along with my usual mountain of laundry. For this card I used my favorite stamp in the Ellen Huston line, did a bit of loose watercoloring and added the Hello die cut. I opted to keep the sentiment simple to avoid distracting from the flowers. Thanks for stopping by today.

Layer it up challenge

Welcome! I'm sharing my card for the SSS wednesday challenge "Layer it up" . I water colored this image from Concord & 9th, fussy cut it out, I used gold embossing powder on the edges of a piece of cardstock to match the embossing on the cake, added a diecut panel on top of that , then popped up the cake. Not sure the broken china ink blending I did on the die cut panel is the best color choice, but I wanted the cake to pop. I plan to try this in another color soon. Thanks for visiting me today.

PTI blog hop

Hello! I'm stopping in to share my card for the January PTI blog hop. It's very last minute, I had no ideas until 7pm tonight. That's how I work best.... under pressure.I didn't plan on playing along this month, then suddenly the idea came to me while doing dishes.  I used the cupcake die set,  sentiment is from Piece of cake set, and I used enamel accents for the sprinkles. Welcome back! I'm sharing another card for the CAS Colours and sketches challenge. This sketch had me thinking moon and star right away. I watercolored a galaxy background ,embossed a sentiment from PTI, the star is also PTI, I die cut a circle for the moon and sponged on a bit of pumice stone distress ink .I hope you will play along with us , I love seeing what everyone comes up with.

Hello! Happy Monday. I know who likes mondays? Not many people, but I try to make the best of it. Look at the positives, it rained here and had it been colder we would have FEET of snow instead of inches of rain..not bad for Chicago weather. Welcome , I'm back with another card to share for the CAS Colours and Sketches challenge. This week we have a color challenge, I saw these colors and felt they would work well for snowflakes. I'm currently trying to build up my thank you card supply , so I plan to make a few of these.Does anyone else do that< make a bunch of the same kind of card? I do that often , I usually switch up the colors.  I used a fun stamp from MFT for the snowflakes and the sentiment is from Reverse Confetti. Hope to have you join us, see you again soon.

MIM #309

Hello! I'm having a frustrating day today. My washer broke , so I purchased a new one.... guess what it isn't working either...so while I not so patiently wait (4 days no washer, laundry up to my ears) for lowes to bring me a new one I'll play along with a few challenges. This card is for MIM heat embossed stencils. I don't have any PTI stencils yet, so I made my own using a cover plate and some acetate . I used heat and stick embossing powder so I could try out my nuvo gilding flakes. When they tell you don't breathe when you open them , not kidding. I have a huge mess to clean up next. I thought of a New Years card right away, sequins seem like confetti. I used some Gansai starry watercolors for the background, die cut  numbers and added the sequins. Hello! My 1st official challenge of the New Year! I created this for the Merry Monday embossing challenge. I set a goal for myself to play along with a least 1 blog challenge a week....This is a fairly new one for me. I used a sentiment from Neat and Tangled , embossed with WOW gold pearl embossing powder, and I used some distress inks and distress oxides for the background, then I splattered a bit of white for a galaxy look.
